Greetings from the latest edition of EXPLORE !! the official
Direction Exploring newsletter that details the latest news,
events, and Hot Topics.
Can you believe it, it's nearly the end of March and Term 1. I
sometimes wonder where the year has gone but then have to stop and
think about the amazing things that has been happening for
Direction Exploring. The most exciting news is that I am now
running and presenting many many more workshops and presentations,
with so many more to come. I have now teamed up with Kombiz
Youth Network to assist, develop and run their Girl
Zone program. Girl Zone has been a
wonderful program that has run on a weekly basis throughout the
school term. It is now taking a slightly new angle with a more
educational component with topics including body image and self
esteem, positive mind, healthy eating and positive self. We hope
that Girl Zone can continue to inspire, empower and educate young
girls next term.
Direction Exploring has also teamed up with CareerWise
to offer Find Your Groove, a
program aimed to inspire, empower and motivate students to find
their groove; to explore who they are and discover what is
important to them - essential steps in achieving success. We are
very excited about this new program and feel that it is an
essential workshop for all year 9-12 students. Too often students
feel stuck and uncertain about their life direction and pathway and
unsure of what choices to make. Find Your Groove
has been put together to help students through their journey.
I hope that Direction Exploring can continue to inspire,
motivate and empower young adults to strive to be their best. It is
such an honour to be privy to so many inspiring and moving stories.
Through continuous education and leadership, children and
adolescents are in a better place to shine.
Learning is a treasure
that will follow its owner everywhere.
