Greetings from the latest edition of EXPLORE !! the official
Direction Exploring newsletter that details the latest news,
events, and Hot Topics. Can you believe it, it's nearly the end of
March and Term 1. I sometimes wonder where the year has gone but
then have to stop and think about the amazing things that has been
happening for Direction Exploring. The most exciting news is that I
am now running and presenting many many more workshops and
presentations, with so many more to come.

NEWS - WORKSHOPS AND PRESENTATIONS
GIRL ZONE
Direction Exploring has teamed up with Kombiz Youth Network to
bring you Girl Zone, a program for girls
in grades 5 & 6. Kombiz Youth Network connects young people
with their community for social, personal, spiritual, and
recreational development. It does this through a range of
recreational and educational programs both within and outside the
school environment. Term 1 was a great success!!

FIND YOUR GROOVE
Direction Exploring has teamed up with CareerWise to offer
Find Your Groove, a highly engaging,
essential workshop for Year 9-12 students! A program aimed to
inspire, empower and motivate students to find their groove; to
explore who they are and discover what is important to them -
essential steps in achieving success. Feeling energized, valued for
who they are, acknowledged for their strengths and unique
attributes, students will be more equipped to launch themselves
into the world.

IN THEIR EYES: how parents can assist their children overcome
self-esteem and body image issues
Learn tools and strategies to help increase your child's
self esteem and self acceptance and fight the challenges of body
image. The workshop will leave you with greater awareness and
insight into the struggles that your children may be facing, while
similarly, leaving you feel more empowered and confident to be able
to help them fight their challenges.
