Edition 05 - December 2009
Welcome
Hi All
Greetings from the fifth edition of EXPLORE !! the official
Direction Exploring newsletter that details the latest news,
events, and Hot Topics. And welcome to the NEW look EXPLORE!!
Newsletter. I hope you enjoy it!
WOW! What an unbelievable last couple of months. It is amazing
to witness the development and change of an idea into reality -
simple ideas, templates and visions transform into a living and
operating design. What I am referring too is the NEW and EXCITING
website that Direction Exploring has up and running. It has been an
incredible process seeing the development take shape and evolve
into the wonderful look it is now (well I think so anyway). I
believe the new website has so much more to offer and is truly
visually different to anything else. I would like to thank my
developers and designers who assisted in creating the new
website.
Congratulations to all the now graduated VCE students. Job well
done in getting through what is one of the most toughest and
challenging times. Students are able to now relax and take a
breather for what seemed like a lifetime away only a few months
ago. When it all seems like it is over, the anxiety and tension may
build up the day the results become available. It is this time that
students begin to learn how their hard work paid off and what
opportunities lie ahead of them. Students need to remember that
opportunities do not stop at the beep of their phone, with the
number presented to them in an sms. Opportunities are forever
given, taken and available, and students have the ability to create
their own destiny and life pathway, no matter what the outcome on
the sms, and similarly, the possible graduate position offered.
"The man who grasps an
opportunity as it is paraded before him, nine times out of ten
makes a success, but the man who makes his own opportunities is,
barring an accident, a sure-fire success."

Carnegie
When the time comes to potentially change course preferences, it
is always a busy time of year. It is during this time I assist
young adults further explore their values, passions and interests
and the opportunities available to them. My key message to all my
students is to follow their heart and passion and not base their
course decision on their mark, no matter how high that may be!
Being true to themselves, values and passions is the best step to
achieving greatness and success!
I wish you all a joyous and peaceful holiday season and a happy
and wonderful New Year.
