As a professional psychotherapist and counsellor working for many agencies and community organisations over the years, I fast enjoyed the thrill and inspiration that working with youth gave me. I soon realised where my professional heart and soul lied - helping to change the lives of children and teens.

Feeling a great concern that something was missing for many parents to help their kids discover who they are, what is important to them, and ultimately their life direction, coupled with great encouragement from fellow parents and colleagues, Direction Exploring was born.

Helping teens discover their capabilities, passions, values and strengths is truly the most rewarding and inspiring experience. Seeing parents see shifts and changes in their children, coupled with greater motivation and drive is similarly just as rewarding.

Completing my family therapy course has given me a whole new lense that I now look through and use in my practice. My approach is very wholistic where I encourage all family members to be involved in the counselling process. Everyone plays a crucial role in the family, thus, working with parents is just as important to me as working with children and teens.
